Anthony Trammel Bruner, a.k.a. We’z Mr. 3-1-8, was born on January 8, 1980, in Shreveport Louisiana to Janice Marie Bruner. At the age on 9, We’z discovered his passion for music and instantly realized that music was his calling. Artists such as Prince, Tupac Shakur, and Scarface had a big influence on We’z and at the age of 14, he appeared in his first talent show where he performed one of his original songs. In 1996, after hearing about the death of his long time idol, Tupac Shakur, We’z felt devastated and felt that hip hop was starting to loose its true essence. He felt that it was his responsibility to bring it back and show the younger generations what hip-hop is really all about.

In the summer of 2002, at the age of 22, We’z left home due to a job that required traveling. “I never had a chance to leave home and this was a good opportunity for me to leave. I met so many different people and cultures along the way, and it really opened my eyes to a different aspect of the world.” After doing some traveling across the United States, We’z came to Boise Idaho where he gave up his job and decided to settle. In the meantime, We’z became a part of a group called the X-Factors. This gave him the opportunity to learn more about how to write a 16 bar verse, recording, and how to put music together. After a while, We’z decided to go his own way and pursue a solo career..
